                                                                                  Hawaii

I would like to visit Hawaii because of all the interesting culture and beautiful landscapes of the islands. I would get there from an airplane and would get to enjoy my sojourn in a sunny atmosphere and spend time on the incredible beaches there. The floral necklaces and luau are what Hawaii is known for. Hawaii's southeastern island has five volcanoes and new land is formed from them which would be interesting to see and I'd love to try the exotic foods of the natives there.

                         Isolation in Alaska

Into the Wild takes place in Alaska where Christopher McCandless hitchhiked wanting to live off the land. McCandless was brought up in Annandale,Virginia and graduated, with high grades from Emory University. After his graduation he stopped communicating with his family, donated his bank account to charity, and traveled across the Western United States. McCandless brought a few belongings such as ten pounds of rice, a .22 caliber rifle, several boxes filled with rifle rounds, a camera, and some reading materials. His backpack contained his wallet with identification, his social security card, money, and library cards. McCandless died of starvation after more the one hundred days of living by himself in the wilderness. His body was found on an abandoned bus. John Krakauer retraced McCandless' steps and wrote Into the Wild one year after McCandless' death.
